Bunnahabhain

Bunnahabhain, pronounced "Boo-na-ha-ven", was built in 1881 on the island of Islay. It is one of the milder of the Islay whiskies, with the distillery requiring only malt peated at very low levels by Islay standards to be used in its distilling.

Unlike many distilleries, Bunnahabhain does not chill filter its whisky. After going to lengths to craft such fine whisky, Bunnahabhain considers this process to be a sacrifice in the name of cosmetics, and by eliminating this, the authentic flavour and texture can remain in the bottle.
