Cardhu 15 Year Old is a very approachable, charming and seductive Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Speyside. At 15 years old, it's aged for 3 years longer than the regular 12 year old expression. The additional years enhance the distillery's characteristic orchard fruit, barley sugar malt and cake spices notes together with richer tropical fruit and vanilla notes.
A swirl in the glass reveals clean vanilla and tropical fruit notes. It's peppery and lightly charred. The flavour grows richer, with consistent sweetness and the addition of layers of toffee and chocolate and touches of burnt sugar on a Crème Brûlée. This 15 Year Old from Cardhu is best served neat, with its fruit cake, almond and tropical fruit flavours.
