Chateau Favray

The ancient Chateau Favray dates back centuries, and was named after the Dame de Favray at the turn of the 17th century. Antique winemaking equipment found in the estate testifies to the Chateau's wine production activity of this time. The estate sadly ceased wine production when phylloxera devastated the vineyards at the end of the 19th century. It is only recently that winemaking resumed on the estate, when Quentin David inherited the land in 1980, he decided to return to the estate's historic roots.

Chateau Favray is a 15 hectare estate dedicated to growing Sauvignon Blanc grapes for the production of Pouilly Fume wines. Grouped on the limestone soil hillsides overlooking the Nohain River valley, the terroir is particularly advantageous for Sauvignoon Blanc and the Pouilly Fume it produces.
