Didier Champalou

The Champalou estate was set up in 1983 by Catherine and Didier Champalou, both from winemaking families, and driven by a desire for the freedom of running their own estate. Starting from an initial half hectare planting of Chenin Blanc grapes and a three-year wait to produce the first crop, they have grown to a 19 hectare domaine of solely Chenin Blanc.

The couple aim to show of the greatest amount of expression from the grape while also reflecting the terroirs of the vineyards, harvesting grapes manually to ensure all the fruit used is at its most optimal.
