The lineage of Bodegas Faustino dates back to 1861, when Eleuterio Martinez Arzok settled in Oyon and bought the manor house and vineyards there. In 1930, Faustino Martínez Pérez de Albéniz continued his father's work, reconstructing the vineyards destroyed by the phylloxera blight and helped the company grow in size and quality.
In 1957, Julio Faustino Martínez became the new head of the company and launched Faustino as a brand in tribute to his father. From there, Faustino has grown to become an international brand, sold in as many as 47 countries. |
