Glenfiddich

Glenfiddich, Scottish Gaelic for "Valley of the Deer" was founded in 1886 by William Grant. Following his dream of making "the best dram in the valley", he set about building the distillery by hand with the aid of his seven sons and two daughters. After a year of hard work, the distillery sprang to life in 1887 and produced its first drop of spirit on Christmas Day of that year.

The first to market single malt whisky outside of Scotland, Glenfiddich has grown to become the world's best-selling and also most awarded single malt. Using skills few others would, including an in-house coppersmith and cooperage, Glenfiddich has worked hard to earn its place at the top.
