The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve is created in honour of George Smith, the founder of The Glenlivet Distillery. Made to capture the essence of George Smith's vision, The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve is blended using whiskies from a range of ages, as it would have been in 1824, and in a modern twist, marries together aged oak casks with American first-fill oak casks. In this way, Founder's Reserve is crafted with the liberty to use all the finest casks available. The resulting whisky is supremely well balanced and smooth. Delicate aromas of citrus with a sweet palate. Notes of oranges and pears with hints of toffee apple and candy leading to a long, creamy, smooth and satisfying finish. |
