Glenmorangie

Distilling at Glenmorangie, gaelic for "vale of tranquillity", located in Tain in the Scottish Highlands, dates back to 1843, though alcohol production began 40 years before when it was simply Morangie Farm Brewery. William Matheson was responsible for renaming the brewery and converting it to a distillery, equipping it with two gin stills.

Glenmorangie boasts the tallest stills in Scotland, standing 5.14 metres tall. The result of this is that only the lightest, purest vapours make it to the top, creating a much smoother and elegant whisky.
