Harvey's are an importer and blender of sherry founded by John Harvey in Bristol in 1796. Initially selling a mix of Portuguese and Spanish wines, Harvey and his brother would come to develop cream sherry. A blend of wines from fifty soleras using three types of sherry and Pedro Ximenez wine, this became the company's main product: Harvey's Bristol Cream.
Since the 1970s, Harveys has sold all it's products in bottles made from Bristol blue glass, a striking style of glass produced local to Harvey's, giving their product an iconic appearance. |
