Hendrick's Gin is the creation of Charles Gordon and Lesley Gracie in a quest to create a new and unique product from two stills Gordon acquired at auction in the 1960s. Both a century old at the time and lovingly restored, one was a Carter-Head, of which only a few remain in the world and the other a small pot still. Each produces a drastically different spirit to the other.
It was not until 1999 when Gordon and Gracie found the gin they had been searching for. By firing up both stills at the same time, and infusing the spirit with the unusual rose and cucumber botanicals, Hendrick's Gin was born. |
