Highland Park 21 Year Old 2020 Release has been created from 16 first-fill sherry seasoned European oak hogshead casks, 14 first-fill bourbon hogshead casks and 25 refill hogshead casks. All laid down in November 1998 and hand selected by the Master Whisky Distiller at Highland Park, Gordon Motion.
A deep, vibrant russet in colour. It's all natural, without any additives. Bottled at its marrying strength of 46% ABV, this 21 Year Old is spicy and complex. Aromas of sweet heather honey, lightly toasted oak and spicy root ginger mark an intensely balanced marriage of flavours. Notes of sun-ripened oranges, fresh vanilla pods and warm spices overlaid by hints of Orkney's unique heather peat. The long, complex and satisfying spicy finish lingers with a final wisp of aromatic peat smoke.
