Konik's Tail has a creamy mouthfeel, with a smooth caramel nutty flavour and a hint of spiced pepper. A premium vodka from the Bilowieza Forest in Poland, it's distilled using three different grains; spelt, rye and wheat. The grain is harvested before it is fully ripe to better retain the natural essence and create smooth layers of flavour. On the nose, Konik's tail has a faint cereal note and spicy white pepper. A little water brings out a touch of nuttiness. Dry and creamy on the palate, peppery spice, a mere hint of caramel sweetness and a raspberry note on the finish. The name comes from the Konik wild ponies native to the Bilowieza Forest. A rare and elusive creature, legend says that to catch a glimpse of a Konik is to ensure a good harvest. |
