Laurent Perrier

The Laurent-Perrier champagne house traces its origins to 1812 when Andre Michel Pierlot purchased two parcels of land in Tours-sur-Marne. After his death, he left the company to his cellar master, Eugene Laurent, who ran it with his wife, Mathilde Perrier. When Eugene died in 1887, Mathilde changed the name to Laurent-Perrier and led the company to huge success.

Though the company fell on hard times through the First and Second World Wars, Bernard de Nonancourt took the reins in 1948 after extensive training in all aspects of a champagne house, from working on the vines to the cellars and in the offices, one of only a few Champagne House owners to have such experience.

In recent years, Laurent-Perrier has seen tremendous growth, becoming one of the best selling brands of champagne in the world.
