Marques de Riscal
Marques de Riscal is one of Spains oldest Rioja wineries, and the oldest in the province of Alava, dating back to 1858. The bodega was founded by Guillermo Hurtado de Amezaga who was commissioned by the Alava Council to hire a winemaker who could teach Bordeaux winemaking techniques to the wine growers of the region.
