Pampero

Pampero was founded in 1938 by Alejandro Hernandez in Venezuela, the only country to denote an appellation for its rum. Hernandez was inspired by the free spirit and dedication of the gauchos of the Pampas region putting the rearing horse on the label. Pampero takes its name from the relentless "Pampero" wind of the Argentinian Pampas plains. The name translates literally as "from the Pampas".

Pampero was the first rum to be given the distinction of "anejo" by the government, because of Hernandez's dedication to ageing his rum in oak casks to ensure the highest quality.
