Perrier Jouet
Perrier Jouet was founded in 1811 by Nicolas Perrier and Adele Jouet, both from families tied closely to the wine industry. Their knowledge and tradition created a champagne house characterised by its uncompromising standards. Perrier Jouet was the first to mark the year of the vintage on their bottles, opting not to produce wine if a harvest in a particular year did not meet their high standards. They also hold the oldest champagne in existence in their cellars; the Perrier Jouet 1825, of which only two bottles remain after one was opened in 2009. |
