Pol Roger Brut Vintage 2015 is a vintage blend created with grapes sourced from 20 Grand and Premier Crus vineyards in the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs. It was aged for 7 years before release. Hand 'riddling' (known in French as remuage) was observed. The process is now rare in Champagne.
This is a unique vintage because of the warmth and dryness of the prevailing weather conditions in 2015, which has created a Champagne expression that's full of freshness.
Lively and fresh in the glass. The bouquet displays pastry aromas and dried notes, and an ethereal yet fleshy hint of rose petals. This evolves into aromas of honey and apple jelly. On the palate, it's round and elegant. The 2015 vintage has slight zesty qualities that sets off notes of brioche, patisserie and toast, combined with liquorice and dried nuts.
The silky texture is tied to a lovely lingering acidity that persists through to the finish.
