Sailor Jerry Rum was created as a tribute to Norman Keith Collins, one of the world's most famous tattoo artists, better known by his nickname, Sailor Jerry. Collins enlisted in the Navy at the age of 19, later settling in Hawaii to set up his tattoo studio, a place which saw a lot of sailors on shore leave, who made up a large part of Collins' clientele.
Sailor Jerry's artwork was influenced by his time as a sailor and his iconic works are recognised around the world. His artwork can be found on the bottles of rum which bear his name. |
