Scapa

Scapa distillery was founded in 1885 on the remote Orkney Isles in Scotland. The second most Northern distillery in Scotland, Scapa is also one of the smallest, dedicating all of its whisky production to making single malts.

Although Scapa draws upon a peaty water source, the water is transported via pipeline to avoid further peat contact. The malt is not dried using peat smoke, the consequence of which is that Scapa whiskies are less peated than most island whiskies tend to be.
