St Germain Elderflower Liqueur is the creation of Robert cooper of Cooper Spirits. Crafting this unique liqueur is a tricky process requiring speed and dedication. The elderflowers which impart their flavour to this drink only bloom for a few weeks every year, and once picked will quickly wither away. Pressing the flowers creates a bitter taste and freezing diminishes the complexity of their flavour, so quickly bringing the harvest to maceration is the only option. Even then, traditional methods extract little flavour and so ingenuity and great expertise is required to craft this subtle and delicate liqueur. |
