Stella Artois

Stella Artois was first brewed in 1926 at the Artois Brewery, a brewery dating back to at least 1366. In 1708 Sebastien Artois became head brewer, purchasing the brewery himself just a few years later and giving his name to it.

Stella Artois was originally brewed as a festive pilsner, taking it's name from the Christmas star. Eventually the popularity of the beer led to it being brewed year-round. Today, Stella Artois is one of the world's most enjoyed premium lagers.
