This is the 2022 Release of Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Straight Rye Whiskey. It come straight from the barrel, uncut and unfiltered. Barrels for this whiskey were filled at 125 proof in 2016, and after barrel aging for over 6 years the whiskey is now 130.9 proof. The glass chosen to bottle Thomas H. Handy Sazerac is designed to showcase the whiskey's dark and rich colour. Each bottle is bottled and labelled by hand to ensure high quality craftmanship in every bottle.
On the nose there are hints of anise, cinnamon, raisin and touches of orange zest. A swirl on the palate reveals a beautiful balance of pepper, floral notes, tobacco and plenty of spice. The finish is rich and long with further notes of cinnamon and raisin. |
