Background: The ultimate tribute to Madame Clicquot and Veuve Clicquot's time-honoured tradition of making Rose Champagne, La Grande Dame Rose is crafted in very limited quantities and only in exceptional years. Eight traditional Grand Crus from the villages of Verzy, Verzenay, Ambonnay, Bouzy, Ay, Avize, Oger and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger are blended together with a final addition of red wine from Bouzy. La Grande Dame Rose ages a minimum of eight years in Veuve Clicquot's Gallo-Roman chalk cellars to develop its characteristic intense aromas of dried fruit and vanilla. |
