Vilarnau Brut Nature Reserva Cava is pale yellow in colour with green highlights and a fine mousse. It has fruity and floral aromas, together with notes of bread and pastries. You also get hints of toasted nuts and honey. It's well balanced and extra dry on the palate. With this being a Brut Nature Cava there is no added dosage (sugar). The sugar come naturally from the grapes used in production. Most other sparkling wines including Champagne have an amount of sugar added during production, unless it is a Zero Dosage or Brut Nature wine.
A combination of Macabeo, Parellada and Chardonnay grapes are picked and then vinified before blending and bottling, for the second fermentation in the bottle. The bottles are then aged for over 24 months in temperature controlled cellars before being disgorged.
