Wood's rum is distilled in Guyana's Diamond Distillery, a distillery boasting an impressive heritage, dating back to 1670 and holding nine different stills on site, acquired over the years from other distilleries when they closed.
Wood's is made from the sweetest sugarcane in the Caribbean: Demerara Sugar from the banks of the Demerara River, which flows through Guyana. It is distilled using a traditional pot still, a method which was created to make malt whisky and has remained unchanged for centuries. Its high strength makes it an essential item in any bartender's cocktail kit. |
